What Are The Benefits?
Acoustic Plasterboard is denser than standard plasterboard by having a higher density core. It's high mass helps block and reduce sound energy transfer giving enhanced acoustic performance to stud walls and timber joisted ceilings. When used in conjunction with our other soundproofing materials such as our 5kg or 10kg Soundproofing Mat or M20 Soundproofing Mats you will achieve the best results.  Acoustic plasterboard on it's own will not soundproof a wall or ceiling.  It complies fully with BS EN520 and is categorised at types A, D.
