AJC TRAILERS RECEIVES MULTIPLE INDUSTRY AWARDS FOR THEIR H20 SOLAR POD

AJC Trailers, along with their counterparts, Nixon Hire, are jointly celebrating winning yet another honour for their energy saving power module, the H20 Solar Pod. Following on from their recent silver citation at the Plantworx awards, the H20 Solar Pod has been bestowed with “Highly Commended” status at the 2019 European Rental Awards. The H2O Solar Pod (Patent Pending) combines solar PV with a back-up generator and large water tank, providing all a sites needs in one sustainable product. AJC have put lower carbon emissions at the heart of this product’s development. It significantly reduces fuel bills by harvesting the suns energy to provide free power to site with the security of a back-up generator. The unit is fitted with AJC’s unique Ecosmart system which seamlessly transfers power between solar, battery and generator. The unit delivers 30kw power output. Using a H20 Solar Pod instead of a standard diesel generator can deliver annual savings of approximately £ 21,727 (€24,822.00) alongside corresponding emissions savings of up to 103 tonnes of CO2. The AJC H20 Solar Pod was designed, developed and trialled in close co-operation with the environmentally progressive hire organisation, Nixon Hire. To advance the use of sustainable energy in the rental markets, Nixon Hire has appointed Michael Robbins MInstRE as the UK Divisional Manager (Renewables). He has a wealth of experience and technical knowledge of renewable energy, particularly in the use of solar. Following the success of the H20 Solar Pod, Michael has been tasked with leading this growing area of the business and developing the Nixon Hire renewable energy offering. The European Rentals Awards are the pinnacle of the European rental markets. The winners were announced at a glittering ceremony on the 15th May in Madrid, Spain.
