Amey Colas Nomination For AJC AJC Trailers are pleased to have received a nomination from a senior representative of Amey Colas Rail for our flagship mobile accommodation unit - the EasyCabin ecorail3. The nomination was for the Network Rail Partnership Awards 2015 in the "Best use of technology and innovation" category. The awards were celebrated at a glittering ceremony held in June at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Technology & Innovation The "Best use of technology and innovation" category was conceived to high-light suppliers who have used new technologies and innovations to help transform Britain's railway The ecorail3 is a sustainable mobile welfare, office and storage facility built exclusively for the UK rail sector. The unit features a smart canteen and a spacious office area together with a hygienic ceramic fresh water flush toilet. The storage area has a useful 2800kg payload and users remain comfortable at all times via the very latest eco power and heating system. External, energy saving, LED lighting ensures that the ecorail3 is safely illuminated at all times. Proper & HSE Compliant Welfare Facilities The complete unit is driven by an Isuzu Euro 6, N75.190E truck, which comes complete with a 3 year warranty, PDI, and Tachometer calibration. The ecorail3 has been designed to provide proper and legally compliant welfare facilities for all individual site contractors carrying out essential work on the UK rail network. The units have been deployed by Amey Colas to remote sites in order to help prevent worker fatigue, whilst guarding against noise and light pollution. The company has also seen a reduction in attempted theft and vandalism.
