Tyre Management Policy – the reality

Does your company have a robust tyre management policy? and do you ‘Walk the Walk’ where tyre management is concerned? There are obvious consequences to having an effective Tyre Management policy in place within your organisation and benefits in terms of fuel efficiency and in making sure your vehicles are roadworthy and safe when out on the road Tyre management is coming under renewed focus from the DVSA in a recent announcement from them that a vehicle or trailer found with a 10 year old tyre in place will result in a ‘follow-up investigation’ and may lead to ‘them being referred the Office of the Traffic Commissioner for further regulatory action’
