Local Authority Building Control Regulations?

An Outdoor swimming pool and spa is usually required to conform with the local authority’s building control regulations when the facility is to be installed: in the grounds of a house that is a listed building; in an area of outstanding natural beauty; in a conservation area; in a front garden; in a rear garden whereby it takes up more than 66% of the rear garden plot. A ‘covered’ Outdoor swimming pool and spa facility (IE, one that has a fixed or telescopic enclosure) is usually required to conform with the local authority’s building control regulations with respect to wind and snow loadings and will also usually be required to satisfy the authority’s permitted development rules.
