The life of a liner, providing the pool is treated with care and with correct chemical usage, is advertised by manufacturers at between Twelve and Fifteen years. Aqueous Pools has yet to replace one that it has installed. Typically, a tiled pool is more expensive and also slower to install than the liner equivalent. Styles, colours, size and design of tiles though are almost limitless. The technology has also been around for thousands of years. The ease of application and durability of contemporary compound tile adhesives and grouts is exemplary so re-grouting and the replacement of the occasional tile is less common today. Providing the pool is treated with care and with correct chemical usage, the life of a tiled pool is ‘open-ended’.
