Fire Alarm Systems can be connected to an alarm receiving centre (ARC) which will provide keyholder and on some systems obtain Fire Brigade Response. Argus Fire and Security currently install and maintain many of these systems across the UK, all the work is carried out in conjunction with the Fire Reform Order 2005 and the new British Standard BS5839:2013. Older systems conform the previous standard BS5839:2002, and in some cases BS5839:1998. It is expected that in the future all companies working on fire alarms will need to be approved by an organisation such as the NSI, Argus successfully achieved this in 2015.Not all Fire Authorities will provide immediate brigade response, many brigades across the UK (including Merseyside) will only guarantee to respond to a confirmed Fire Alarm Activation.
