Working in Partnership With WellChild

26-04-2016

Cable Detection are delighted to be working in partnership with WellChild, to raise much needed funds to help children in the UK living with a serious illness or complex care need. The team at Cable Detection are not only carrying out a variety of staff fundraising including sponsored slims and raffles, they also plan to volunteer at a future Helping Hands project at help to transform a child’s life. Cable Detection recently provided WellChild with comprehensive training on cable avoidance equipment at their Staffordshire head office. WellChild’s Helping Hands programme, takes volunteers into the homes of families to undertake life changing projects. It is vitally important that WellChild are able to undertake these projects in the safest way possible. Lee Trunks, Wellchild Programme Manager says: “The training was friendly and informative. Now I know what the Ezicat i550 can do, I am really glad we can use it on our projects and add that extra level of safety to our volunteers. Site safety is a very important consideration for the WellChild Helping Hands team, and now with this training and equipment I know we are doing everything we should be to make our projects safe and a great success.” On completion of the training course, Christine Swetnam, MD for Cable Detection, presented WellChild’s Helping Hands with a complete cable avoidance kit. - See more at: http://www.cabledetection.co.uk/news/working-in-partnership-with-wellchild#sthash.k9OWHwAJ.dpuf
