The CeilCote process is designed for spraying onto the underside of concrete slabs and ceilings, detailed masking procedures allow for a quality result in a variety of RAL/BS colours. The Concrete void is painted using long-handled rollers and airless paint spray equipment. Specialists paints are used, which will adhere to the ceiling including any services which require painting, ie, (galvanised ducting, pipes, conduit, etc) which will provide a hard surface that won’t be easily chipped or scratched. If spraying onto a galvanised surface the use of a multi-surface paint is essential or will peel after a couple of months. Cleaning We thoroughly clean the concrete block walls or concrete ceiling slab of all dirt, dust and loose mortar. We scrub the wall/ceiling with a stiff-bristled brush and wire brush on any rough spots. We wipe the wall down with a damp towel. Clean off white powdery deposits, called efflorescence, with an acid-based masonry cleaner if required. Scrape off any loose or peeling paint from a previously painted wall. Clean grease or oily spots. If the stain mark is still evident, blocking primer is applied.. Ceiling Voids – Concrete Ceilings One of the latest trends in retail refurbishment is to do away with suspended ceilings and paint the concrete ceiling void, including all service pipes, galvanized trunking and cable trays, etc. The best solution is to spray apply our multi-surface primer and finish coating. The superior priming and sealing properties of the coating eliminates the need for separate primers. This provides the benefit of cutting down on labour and downtime and allowing large areas to be completed in a single shift. Once complete you are left with a uniform finish to all surfaces.
