Shipping Container Conversion

The project, called the artist village, was designed to site 8 containers in total. These consisted of 4 x 40 ft containers and 4 x 20 ft containers, which were converted into artist changing rooms, ablution block facilities and a generator housing unit. Further work was required on site to link the main existing building facility to the artist village. One of the main specifications of the project was that although we were using shipping containers, the production team did not want their people to know, or feel they were interacting with what started life as a humble shipping container. With clever cladding to envelope the units, doors, windows and paint finishes, even for industry specialists the converted structure certainly does not resemble a shipping container.
