4500 Acrylic Base Coating is a fast drying, spray coating used for metal or wood furniture decoration. To protect the coating, a protective clear coat should be applied. Surface Preparation Surfaces should be smooth without areas of fur, evenly pre-sanded with no coarser than 150 grit paper. The surface must be free from contaminating waxes, oils and silicones. Previously Painted Surfaces Surface to be painted must be thoroughly clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and loose or flaky coating. All paint works must be scrapped off and defective areas should be sanded down and spot primed with appropriate filler before painting.
