Fernco to partner with men’s mental health charity, Andy’s Man Club, in 2023

In the UK, as many as 1 in 6 adults experience symptoms of poor mental health, such as depression and anxiety. So against the backdrop of these worrying numbers, Fernco has chosen men’s mental health charity Andy’s Man Club, as one of its charity partners for 2023, to raise awareness and help remove the stigma around mental health. Andy’s Man Club is a men’s mental health and suicide prevention charity offering free peer-to-peer support across the UK and online. With over 100 support groups nationwide, Andy’s Man Club wants to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation in a safe, judgement-free and non-clinical environment. Fernco HR Manager, Sarah Andrews said on the partnership: “We’re really pleased to partner with Andy’s Man Club. It’s a real reflection of our values as a business and our commitment to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health in our industry. 1 in 4 of us faces mental health problems in our lifetime, with more than a million people citing work-related stress or anxiety as the cause. That’s a big issue and one that we have the power to do something about. “Of the more than 100 support groups Andy’s Man Club runs weekly, 5 are within a 10-mile radius of our factory, so this is certainly a cause close to home. Our support is a real chance to engage our colleagues and the wider community in discussions about mental health.
