We’re looking for a Production Machine Operative

We’re looking for a Production Machine Operative Fernco, located in Wombwell, Barnsley, is seeking a permanent Production Machine Operative to join our Company, working Monday – Thursday 08:00 to 16:30 / Friday 08:00 to 15:30. The successful individual will work in our newly created manufacturing cell and as part of the wider production assembly team, where they will be responsible for the safe and efficient production of high-quality HDPE water management products. Please be aware flexibility will be required as this role is likely to move to a permanent days/afters shift pattern (06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00) within the first 18-24 months, dependent on product development, customer demand and sales volume. Production Machine Operative duties: Operation of pre-programmed CNC router HDPE welding and snap fit assembly to create finished products Stock management of component parts and materials Manual handling and siting of large bulky material from warehouse to CNC router Production line quality management Daily safety checks of all equipment Regular housekeeping of manufacturing cell and waste material management To work in other areas as and when required. Requirements for the role: Good numeracy and IT skills Accurate and methodical approach to working practices Ability to plan and organise workload Process-driven and able to adhere to SOPs and stringent health and safety policies Understanding of KPIs and continuous improvement ideology Flexible approach to duties and tasks Previous experience of working in a production and warehouse environment CNC experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
