We’re looking for a Works Operative Fernco, located in Wombwell, Barnsley, is seeking a permanent Works Operative to join our Company, working a 2-shift pattern (06.00-14.00 / 14.00-22.00). The successful individual will work as part of our Assembly team within our Operations department, being responsible for the effective production and despatch of company products; ensuring customers receive quality products in a timely manner. Works Operative duties: Assemble and produce a range of company products using hand tools i.e. air guns, welder, cutting machine Print labels and place them on company products Use material handling equipment i.e. pump trucks, FLT, and stacker (subject to applicable training). Provide cover for Production Machine Operatives as and when required Manufacture and produce a range of company products specific to customer requirements using various machinery i.e. guillotine, welder, jointing machine, air guns, rollers and hand tools. Undertake general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment. To ensure the quality of company products at all times by monitoring and highlighting any issues to the QHSE Manager / Operations Manager. Comply with processes/procedures to ensure that the Company achieves its goal to continually improve its environmental performance. Undertake general hygiene duties to ensure the production/warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times. To work in other areas as and when required.
