We’re looking for two Development Engineers

We’re looking for two Development Engineers Fernco, located in Barnsley, is seeking two Development Engineers to join our Company, working 39 hours per week: 08.30 – 17.00 (Mon-Thurs) & 08.30 – 16.00 (Fri). The successful individuals will work as part of our Research & Development team to help develop new and existing products, improve manufacturing processes, and provide technical assistance across the business. Development Engineer Responsibilities: Run and support new development projects from conception and justification through to implementation and ROI calculations Assist in daily technical enquiries and project specifications Discuss with suppliers the manufacturing options, material selection and subsequent quotations for new developments. Generation and maintenance of project and technical documentation. Physical product testing, analysing and reporting to the required standards. Conduct feasibility assessments, new product prototyping and relevant market research Support Marketing & Sales functions with new product launches Provide technical assistance with the development of Life Cycle Assessments. Assist with the attainment of Intellectual Property. The Ideal Development Engineer: BEng / MEng within a similar engineering Field (HND/HNC Minimum) Suitable experience in a similar Engineering role IT efficacy – Windows, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive/SharePoint, Office Suite Proficient in SolidWorks & AutoCAD Project Management experience – the ability to manage multiple simultaneously.
