Our recent favourite projects where we’ve supplied street furniture

05-01-2016

Over the past few weeks, Furnitubes has seen a number of interesting projects come to life, with our street furniture creating impact all over the UK! We were particularly excited to see the completion of Thomas More Square near Tower Bridge in London, where our design team worked closely with BDP, the architects responsible for the re-design of this public realm area to create some truly unique seats for city workers and visitors alike. Working from a concept design, the team was delighted to visit the site and see the new bespoke seating designs in place and in use by the public. We’ve also seen the conclusion of the improvements to the outdoor courtyard at Haberdashers’ Aske’s School in Borehamwood, to complement the new Excelsior building. The inclusion of planters, timber and steel handrail and a selection of RailRoad timber benches has really transformed this space that the pupils will surely enjoy. Continuing the theme of education, we think the building and the welcoming open spaces at Cardiff and Vale College’s new city centre campus look incredible. The modern wedge shaped building and the complementary public spaces outside are a fine addition to the Central Cardiff Enterprise Zone and we’re overjoyed to have supplied a wide range of seats, benches and seating platforms. And our final pick of recent projects that peaked our interest has to be the new United Living canal-side development at Wharf Road in Islington, comprising four new blocks, providing over 300 new homes. Kingston Garden Services installed our Cheshunt timber benches in the rooftop terrace garden by simply putting the small sections that we supplied into the lift in the building – a simple solution to an otherwise tricky problem! We love seeing our products installed on sites and these ones are just a small selection of our recent favourites!
