14-05-2014

Marlon de Asambuja is a Brazilian born artist based in the Spanish capital of Madrid. Particularly interested in urban and spatial issues, Marlon has taken a lot of his work to the streets; producing unique artwork with the aim to open up our minds about the way we view space in our urban environments. In his Potencial Escultórico (Sculptural Potential) series, Marlon de Asambuja transformed street furniture items including benches, litter bins, railings and cycle stands into colourful, contemporary solid forms, with the use of duct tape.
