Rotherham Seat

The Rotherham seat has distinctive floral-style cast iron seat standards and timber slats arranged in a scrolled profile. The design is a replica of a Victorian original - first thought to have been used in London's parks - and continues to be used today as the standard seat in the capital's Royal Parks. The closely aligned iroko timber slats, which are profiled around the tight scrolls at the top and bottom of the seat, provide generously proportioned and very comfortable seat and backrest support. An engraved bronze plaque can be fitted to a backrest slat for seats provided for memorial or commemoration purposes.
