I looked into many training centres before I chose Gold Trowel. I am planning a career change as a bathroom fitter, I spoke to Doug who instantly put me at ease with his wealth of knowledge and was very much putting himself in my shoes and not doing the hard sell. I signed up for the two week tiling course. The great thing about the training is that you are hands on within the first hour of your first day. No half day introductions with numerous breaks, straight into learning your new trade. Doug has the right mix of coaching and mentoring along with leaving you to apply what you have learnt in preparation to learn by your mistakes. Do not be put off by first impressions of the location. This is no sterile training class room facility, you will experience real life learning in real life surroundings, at the same time you will form good working relationships with the trainers and the other delegates. I have booked a third week later on this year to do my nvq, the want to learn is infectious and I have just started the plastering course!
