Customer requirements: The lighting in the customer's main warehouse required ongoing maintenance and lamp replacement every 12 months (requiring hire of a lifter at further additional costs). GRW were invited to perform an energy cost reduction analysis with the objective of reaching a pay back within two years of implementation. After carrying out a free survey and consulting with partner supplier Constellation Lighting, GRW determined a LED based solution that met the customer's requirements of a 400 lux light level at working height and with a projected pay back period of two years. Not only did this provide an ideal working environment, the solution is giving an energy saving of 73% with zero maintenance costs for at least seven years.
