haa design have partnered with development company Speyroc Limited for a 20,000 sq foot speculative technology building in East Kilbride. The brief called for an environmentally sustainable design, which is also efficiently planned and highly adaptable. The building is naturally cooled and ventilated, making use of generous floor to ceiling heights, an exposed concrete soffit and thermally controlled cross ventilation via the atrium. It has achieved a “Very Good” BREEAM rating, and is one of the first speculative office buildings in Scotland to achieve this rating.
