About Us

James Automation started its humble beginnings by taking on installations on behalf of equipment suppliers and gate manufacturers, with our founder Paul accompanied by an apprentice engineer. However it didn't take long for the company, with it's hard working and professional ethos, to develop, and by the second year of trading, we grew to take on two more engineers. By 2003 the company supplied and installed more than 70 new automatic gate systems and increased the repair side of the business to four engineers. It was in 2004 though, with further planned growth that the company was incorporated into Jamesway Ltd and retained the well know trading name of James Automation. Having worked for many years with the reputable South African supplier Centurion, we attended further training and achieved Approved Installer status.
In the following years the company went from strength to strength, evolving with the times and technology to take on new challenges. From investment in a four-wheel drive 7.5 tonne ‘go-anywhere’ on-site workshop which is fully equipped with on-board welding and power generation systems, to a second base in Kent, and the recruitment of an experienced engineer from a risk management background to ensure that health and safety regulations are at the forefront of our ever expanding business, we are always right on top of our customers needs and industry requirements. This meticulous and professional approach has allowed us to establish and maintain a position of trust and respect within our industry.
