Rio Tinto is a leading, global mining group that focuses on finding, mining and processing the earth’s mineral resources. They support a 60,000 strong workforce across more than 40 countries. As a specialist in sign innovation, John Anthony Signs were selected to work alongside a London design agency to develop a reception feature wall, directories and level indicators in a newly refurbished head office in London.The reception feature wall (shown above) is an excellent piece of engineering and design. The woodland scene is not made up by a graphic but merely by holes routered into an aluminium sheet. The rear of the sheet is a copper finished wall with lighting top and bottom to create this fascinating effect, which is hard to appreciate from the photograph.The directories and level indicators were no different in their quality with great attention to detail with shot peened metal with copper inlays.The signs look incredible.We wish Rio Tinto every success for the future.
