The NKS Radar Disabled Toilet Lock is a key-operated locking system designed to provide disabled access to toilet facilities throughout the UK. The lock is part of the National Key Scheme (NKS), which allows disabled people access to any disabled toilet in the country. The lock features a 6 lever security system and includes a handle/indicator, as well as an NKS pre-cut key. It is also reversible, meaning it can be used on either side of the door.

The lock is designed for use with all current NKS keys on the market and can be retrofitted into existing mortices without further modifications. This makes it easy to install and maintain, ensuring that disabled people have access to necessary facilities wherever they go.
The purpose of an accessible toilet should be to enable disabled people to gain prompt access to facilities that might be different from regular toilets in terms of the available space, layout, equipment, flooring, lighting etc. i.e. removing the disabling barriers and restrictions that might be present in regular toilets.
