Mainland Aggregates Helps Local Prince’s Trust Project

11-05-2022

At Mainland Aggregates, we are proud to have been recently involved with a local Prince’s Trust project. We donated bags of gravel and geotextile membrane to help renovate the garden of Holman House, a supported living shelter in Bedford. The finished garden has made a real difference to the residents. Holman House offers a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for homeless people, aged 18+. This supported living shelter aims to help these individuals increase their independence, build up a support network and learn life skills. Not only is the garden area useful for activities but spending time outdoors is tied to plenty of health benefits. From feeling less anxious and stressed to improving the immune system and increasing focus. “We’re very grateful to Scott Chambers, Managing Director of Mainland Aggregates and colleagues for their donation which has made it possible for us to work on this worthwhile project.” Said Mark Williams, Team Leader at The Bedford College Group’s Prince’s Trust.
