Heritage Self Binding Gravel

A very attractive light browny beige coloured, self binding gravel suitable for paths, cyclepaths and bridleways. The range of gravel sizes that make up this self binding gravel ensure it compacts firmly and resists movement when trafficked. Self binding gravel is ideal for applications where are a firmer surface than standard gravel is required. Self binding gravel should be placed in thin layers and rolled using a vibrating roller to create a firm surface. We recommend 50mm depth for footpaths and borders. Heritage Self Binding Gravel must be laid on a suitable free draining compacted sub-base such as MOT Type 3 and it is essential that Heritage Self Binding Gravel is laid with a camber or crossfall to allow water to disperse. Poor drainage is the number one cause of surface failure. This product must not be laid when soaking wet or bone dry as compaction will be lost. See Self Binding Gravel Laying Instructions
