The tape lock button can be operated from the side and bottom and when finished the braked return mechanism ensures a smooth return. The nylon-coated tape has metric and imperial graduations on both sides and stud centre markings every 16 and 19.2 and is fitted with a self-aligning, double ended, magnetic end-hook providing easy attachment and measuring from both sides of the tape.
