Hycote's modern acrylic formulation provides a durable finish with enhanced covering power. It also enables you to spray directly onto many rigid plastic surfaces e.g. bumpers, without special pre-treatment. Hycote paint may be used in conjunction with cellulose paints and primers if desired, but the best results will be obtained by a prior application of Hycote primer.• Excellent covering power• Excellent durability• Excellent resistance to sunlight and colour fade• Excellent adhesion to primed surfacesApplication DetailsPrepare the primed area to be treated, ensuring freedom from dust, grime, greases, oils etc, with a solvent wipe using HYCOTE BRAKE CLEANER, [XUK302], white spirit, or thinners and allow to dry.If necessary, the surface may be flattened by abrading the surface lightly, using 1200 grade wet and dry abrasive paper, and solvent treated as described above to remove any dust.Shake the can thoroughly for at least two minutes. Repeat shaking at regular intervals during use.Apply sparingly from a distance of 20 – 25cm. Apply typically 2 to 3 light coats as necessary to achieve total and even coverage, leaving 10 - 15 minutes between each application.Allow to fully harden for at least 24 hours after application of final acrylic finish coating and application of the clear lacquer.On completion of use, invert can and depress actuator for a few seconds to prevent nozzle blockage.
