A range of acrylic primers designed to bond to rigid plastics, and to provide a surface suitable for the subsequent application of primers, finishes and lacquers.Where to useOn most rigid, non-porous plastics, including glass reinforced polyester, polyurethanes, unplasticised PVC and most thermosets. This product is ideal for use on plastic bumpers and wheel trims.Benefits• Promotes optimum adhesion to plastics surfaces• Eliminates the need for specialised pre-treatments.• Suitable for use on ferrous metalsApplication DetailsPrepare the area to be treated, ensuring freedom from dust, grime, mould release agents, greases, oils etc, using a detergent solution followed by rinsing thoroughly and drying. Corrosion, on ferrous surfaces, other surface contamination, and loosely adhering matter should be removed with an appropriate grade of wet and dry abrasive cloth. Following preparation the surfaces should be further treated with a solvent wipe using HYCOTE BRAKE CLEANER, [XUK302], white spirit, or thinners and allowed to dry.If in doubt about the composition of the substrate, undertake a small test application on an inconspicuous area prior to use to ensure suitability.
