Beddington Energy Recovery Facility

05-03-2017

The state of the art Beddington Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) has installed the Naylor Thermachem drainage system. The facility has been designed to handle around 275,000 tonnes of non-hazardous waste per year which will generate around 22MW of electricity to supply to the National Grid. The site is based at an existing landfill and recycling centre, making excellent use of existing access. It will help divert up to 95% of non-recyclable waste from the local area from going to landfill. Naylor supplied Thermachem drainage to handle high temperatures discharges from under the boiler area. Naylor Thermachem can handle thermal shock of 120 degrees Celsius and handle high temperatures, making it ideal for use in steam fired power generation where steam is regularly discharged from the boiler to prevent it condensing. Pipe Diameters: DN225 and DN300 Couplings: EPDM Push fit couplings
