Refurbished Flooring

With some properties, the wood flooring is in need of renovation, and PDQ Contract Flooring embrace the challenge of making the old new again. Subject to a thorough overhaul, we can undertake the renovation of most old wood floors. Our sanding process uses coarse grit to remove the surface layer, filling any gaps caused by rot or breakage with the same type of wood – its natural grain will then be exposed. Next, we gradually increase the fineness of the grit until a smooth sheen is achieved, and use a triple-disc rotational sander to produce a flawless finish. The final stage is the application of the seal, which captures the patina of the natural floor and its characteristics while bringing out a lasting gloss. Our standard finish is Hard Wax Oil – we apply two coats by hand to ensure the floor has the maximum durability – but we are happy to tailor it to our customers' requirements.
