Canada Life’s Commercial Tower-Block Solar Window Film Installation

A long-term client, Canada Life Insurance, met with Prism to discuss the need to reduce the load on the air-conditioning system within their commercial tower block as it was very expensive to run, overloaded at maximum performance and couldn’t handle extreme temperatures. They also wanted to reduce Sun-glare due to the existing Venetian blinds that were heating up and adding to the internal temperature. The window film addressed the overheating of the floors and helped make the office environment more suitable to work in. All four sides of the building had S20 solar window film installed, giving maximum benefit to the staff. The anti-glare film has enhanced the outdated look of the 70’s type building to a modern day, aesthetically-pleasing landmark, which is functional, better-suited to staff and environmentally improved, providing an added layer of safety and health and safety compliance for their offices. The installation was completed both during normal working hours and outside office hours to reduce office disruption and ensure maximum project teamwork and productivity. Applying glass security film to the other 3 x lifts within the building removed the possibility of future spontaneous glass breakage and the threat of injury to customers and staff.
