New Inclusive Play Park Completed for Gamston Community
Proludic has bought inclusivity to this multi-stage playground improvement project at Ambleside Play Park for the Holme Pierrepont & Gamston Parish Council. The project goal was to transform the area into two inclusive play park developments for the local community in Gamston. This comes after the Parish Council recognised the lack of accessible play options and sought to fix this issue.
This playground received development funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) allocated by Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC). This funding boost means the site has been able to install accessible footpaths and undertake much-needed groundwork. It also allowed for the introduction of a wide range of inclusive play equipment to the new children’s play area.
The new development was celebrated on National Play Day with an event held with RBC’s Deputy Leader, the Mayor of Rushcliffe Cllr Andy Brown, Parish Council representatives, Proludic Ltd and local families.
Proludic’s Accessible Play Equipment for the New Inclusive Play Park
The council’s intention to create an inclusive, accessible space led them to Proludic. This is because we are UK experts in inclusive design innovation and provide a range of equipment designed for accessibility. Inclusivity is an important part of our company goal to build spaces for children of all abilities to learn, play, and stay active.
The new play areas are now updated for full accessibility with an inclusive bucket swing, and wheelchair-accessible trampoline. Additionally, the park now has an improved, wheelchair-accessible footpath to help visitors reach the area safely.
Planning is underway for further developments of the space for completion in Spring 2025. The finished area will include sensory play equipment like outdoor musical instruments perfect for children of all ages and abilities.
