Rendering of an External Wall

Rendering an external wall is able to consist of two to three layers which depends on the background you are applying to. If you are going straight onto brickwork you can apply a scratch coat and then a top coat of your choice. If you are going onto wire then you should apply two scratch coats and then a top coat also.
