SHAPED & PROFILED ECO RAILWAY SLEEPERS

These NEW shape profiled railway sleepers have been machined both sides from German Redwood timber to create 2 completely different profiles, that create endless landscaping possibilities for decking, steps, raised beds and retaining walls etc... An attractive alternative to conventional flat faced railway sleepers. They are square edged, straight and lighter than most used railway sleepers, and so easy to stack, cut & drill. See pictures above. They are FSC certified, which means that they come from approved well managed forests. NB. As these are new green cut timbers they can crack or move as they season and naturally weather. This can effect the shape of the pattern on either side, as splits or movement appears. Cutting: Fairly easy. The easiest of all our railway sleepers to cut. You can use a circular saw, chainsaw or even a handsaw to cut them. As with any project, it makes sense to try and limit the amount of cuts you need to do. Try and plan a design that fits with the size of our shaped sleepers!
