Acoustic Windows

The 2+1 window and door system is able to provide acoustic reduction values of up to Rw49dB. The Acoustic Windows system is available as an inward opening system in timber/aluminium composite with softwood internally and aluminium externally. Another advantage of the 2+1 system is the option to include venetian blinds within the cavity in between the external single glazing and internal sealed double glazing. This construction can provide an extremely cost effective solution to significantly reducing solar gain enabling the occupant to regulate the internal climate to a significant degree. The blind is conveniently shielded from dust and damage because of its location in the cavity but is able to be easily accessed for cleaning and repairs as it is not trapped within a sealed unit.
