These M6 Forgefix Threaded Rods are made ofZinc Plated steel for increased corrosionresistance, and provide a cost effective fastening solution formany varied applications.

They can be used with many other productsincluding Drop In Anchors and Masonry Anchor Shields.

Treaded BarApplications:

Used widely in the soft furnishing trades wherestrong timber connection is required. Also extensively used inPlayground and Climbing Wall manufacturing.

Ideal for use in light weight chemical fixingapplications where non standard sizes are required.

Zinc coatings prevent oxidation of theprotected metal to create a longer lasting finish. It does this byforming a barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if thisbarrier is damaged.

Zinc oxide is a fine white dust that incontrast to iron oxide does not trigger a breakdown of thesubstrate?s surface integrity as it is formed.

The zinc oxide, if left intact, can act as abarrier to further oxidation, in a way similar to the protectionafforded to aluminium and stainless steels by their oxidelayers.
