Oil Tank Installation, Replacement and Removal

Oil tank installation and replacements have always been the core of Southern Tank Services Ltd skills. Our teams of friendly OFTEC qualified engineers are experienced, trained and fully insured for domestic and commercial work for your complete peace of mind. For domestic oil tank replacements we cover from East Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire and West Berkshire. Commercial installations allow us to travel further. Up to the Midlands, South Wales and up to London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent. The procedure for replacing domestic oil tanks or commercial sized tanks are basically the same. Typically, after the initial site visit to assess the current oil tank installation, we'll carry out an Environmental Risk Assessment and present a solution that will comply with current building regulations for the building in question be it domestic, commercial or agricultural. After agreeing with the quotation we start the work by: Pumping out existing oil to our holding tank. Disconnect, remove and recycle the redundant tank within environment base practice. Construct a base suitable for the new tank. Install the new tank and connect to the oil feed pipe. Transfer the oil out of the holding tank into the new installation. Bleed the oil pipes and prime the appliances, test and issue and completion report. For non-domestic sites we will agree and work to a site risk assessment and method statement and issue waste transfer notices and gas-free certificates where appropriate. All our installation and removal work is carried out to industry best working practice and Environment Agency guidelines.
