GuardAid® Positional Tool
Eliminating the risk of fall from height with GuardAid® Positional Tool. With integrated safety the scaffolder is provided with safe systems of work throughout erection, dismantle and alteration of System Scaffolding. GuardAid® is a scaffold tool used to position, while holding secure a scaffolding frame/guardrail, before it is fixed and locked into place. GuardAid® enables existing standard scaffold frame components, containing pre-setting locking mechanisms, to fulfil the purpose of an INTEGRAL advance guardrail (AGR). The use of advance guardrails (AGRs) in access and scaffolding applications has become widespread to comply with statutory requirements. A pan European Work at Height Directive to reduce falls from height (identified as the single biggest cause of workplace fatalities and serious injuries) brought about the introduction of a hierarchal approach to planning all work at height activity. This hierarchy requires work at height to be avoided if possible, where this is not possible for risk of fall to be prevented before reliance on mitigation measures. Advance guardrails, as the name suggests, provides guardrails in advance during the erection, dismantling and alteration of scaffolding, towers and Falsework configurations, without the need to rely on fall arrest equipment (mitigation measures). GuardAid® enables existing components to be utilised as integral advance guardrails. This is achieved by combining a sequence of steps; holding, securing, guiding and then enabling automatic positioning, fixing and locking the existing scaffold component.Visit the Turner Access Ltd website for more information on GuardAid® Positional Tool
