Here is a 7-step guide on how to clean your Baron mixer
We know it's not the fun part. But it's an essential part - maybe the most important part!
1. First, check the machine for any loose or damaged parts and ensure all safety features are in place and functional.
2. With a cloth wipe the interior of the drum with xylene or a similar trowel cleaner (this is to remove any residue and or contaminants).
This helps to reduce the adhesion of resin aggregates to the drum.
3. Ensure your machine is running before adding any material
4. Add material to combine add resin allow to mix until fully combined then add your sand/glass/recycled material
5. When mixed open the trapdoor to allow the mix to flow into a lined wheelbarrow
6. Once the machine has emptied the material, grab your cloth with xylene(or a similar product) and clean any remaining material from the vessel including the trapdoor before your next mix. Continue to wipe the interior of the drum between mixes to ensure your drum is always clean and free of contaminants
7. When the required material has all been mixed finish your day by removing any remaining aggregate from the machine and wiping the dum round with xylene or a similar product and opening your trapdoor for overnight storage as this reduces the risk of the trapdoor becoming bonded to the drum.
A clean mixer is a happy mixer!
