Painted with any water based paint Glasstex surfaces will prevent flames from spreading horizontally along room or corridor walls and equally important resist flames spreading vertically into ceiling spaces, Glasstex offers a truly decorative finish, that gives a fire retardant solution at a fraction of the cost compared to other fire protection systems on the market. A range of various systems incorporating Glasstex products in conjunction with Beeline medium grade R/M Adhesive have been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part 6 (Fire Propagation) and BS 476: Part 7 (Surface Spread of Flame) and the test results comply with the requirements for Class ’0′ rating as defined in paragraph A 13 (b) of Approved Document B (Fire Safety) to the Building Regulations 2000.
