Here at Form Architecture we have gained planning permission for the construction of a 4 bedroom contemporary house located in Clapton, Hackney. The restricted site offers an open plan living/dining/kitchen space which opens seamlessly onto the private courtyard in order to offer a deceptively large outside space. The house has been designed in order to shadow the adjacent Victorian terrace to offer an unobtrusive infill development, the use of a dark brick for the main facade develops the concept of the shadow house. The property is made up of 3 levels and the inset, zinc clad second floor is accessed by a frameless glass link to create a sense of space and openness on this confined site.
