Flood Risk Assessments

PPS 25, published on 7th December 2006, replaces Planning Policy Guidance Note 25: Development and Flood Risk, published in 2001. Under this new statutory document, developers are required to provide an assessment demonstrating the following; • Whether the proposed development is likely to be affected by flooding. • Whether the proposed development will increase flood risk elsewhere. • That the measures proposed to deal with the risks and effects can be successfully managed with minimum environmental effect. • That the site can be developed and occupied safely. Free Flow is proficient in the thorough assessment of flooding risks to developments as well as offering innovative mitigation measures to satisfy identified risks.
