High Pressure Water Jetting
High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) is the industry standard method of cleaning drains and sewers. By pressuring a steel reinforced hose, water can be released at high velocity from a pattern of orifices in the hose nozzle. Different orifice patterns result in different effects for cleaning. Once a High Pressure Water nozzle has been passed down a pipe, then it is largely invisible, so great care needs to be exercised to prevent damage or uncontrolled jetting of open joints, defects or even people. Access to the sewer or drain is entirely dependant on the access points from manholes and inspection chambers. Larger sewers and culverts require tankers to provide greater flow rates and volumes. Often a combined jetter and suction pump is required to remove contaminated material. Free Flow operatives have been trained in the safe use of this effective drain maintenance tool. Certification and training is managed nationally by the Water Jetting Association of UK.Visit the Free Flow Ltd website for more information on High Pressure Water Jetting
