Sewage Treatment Systems
Unless the property, building or business is connected to the Public Sewerage system, then independent sewage treatment is necessary to protect the environment and maintain our health. Once installed, a treatment system can be very reliable. However good sewage treatment requires the system to be adjusted and managed to provide a long term, reliable and sustainable operation. Even the large water companies which manage our municipal waste water are challenged by operating and maintaining complex systems whilst meeting European Directives and protecting our natural environment. Septic tanks are the most common traditional method of rural domestic foul waste water treatment. The tanks treat sewage anaerobically (without oxygen) and are best suited to small systems. Cess pits are sealed underground tanks that retain sewage. These pits or tanks do not have any outlet and are required to be emptied on a regular basis by tankers. Soakaways are chambers of systems that dissipate storm water, treated sewage or runoff into the ground through either land drain systems of perforated chambers. Free Flow has considerable experience in first assessing existing treatment systems then providing improvement recommendations and a maintenance service. This may involve the installation of new tanks or processes. We are proficient in obtaining Discharge Consents from the Environment Agency. We are also experienced in working with the Water Companies and local authorities in obtaining the necessary approvals and consents as well as implementing the works with the least disruption to you, your home or your company.Visit the Free Flow Ltd website for more information on Sewage Treatment Systems
