Gate Measuring Guide

Measuring for your new gate or railings is easy. Simply measure the gap from inside one of the gate posts to the inside of the other. You will not need to worry about accounting for the fittings and fixings as we take care of all the necessary calculations for you, however please note all the measurements for our gates are for the gap itself, not the gates. For example, should your gap size be 8′ (2.43m) please order an 8′ gate. We allow for a 2″ (5cm) ground clearance for all heights of gates and railings meaning a 6′ (1.83m) high gate will measure 5’10″ (1.78m) when delivered although when installed it will be the required 6′. Please measure the height from the lowest point to the top of your wall or the bottom of you coping stones should you have them.
