Case Study: Grand Union Canal

26-01-2014

With this recent project we were approached by Tube Lines in order to produce a scaffolding structure which was suitable for a railway bridge crossing the grand union canal. Some of the issues which we encountered included the bridge which is owned by Tube Lines but spans the Grand Union Canal and a section of goods line owned by Network Rail. Each had their own criteria and differing aspects which made the scaffold more challenging. In order to help resolve these issues we decided upon using a Suspended Scaffold with a new Haki Derrick system and a Shrinkwrap by Tufcoat in order to keep it tight around the scaffold.
