Each of our Haddonstone designs is specifically made to order. If the order is for a standard design, manufacturing can begin as soon as a colour has been agreed on. If a custom design is needed then a mould needs to be made beforehand. However if the design is relatively simple, such as a window cill or coping stone then the mould will be made of wood in the company’s wood shop. One of our highly trained carpenters will interpret drawings to make a precise mould, which is the reverse of the shape required. Timber moulds have a comparatively limited life compared to their fibreglass equivalents.
