Alex Holdway Joins John Lord

With a Masters Degree in Chemistry with Honours from Manchester University under his belt Alex Holdway is now putting all his skills and knowledge to work at John Lord. Alex Holdway joins John Lord as Technical Supervisor for resin floorsA few months after graduating Alex Joined John Lord as Technical Supervisor, his principal objective is to develop the current portfolio of resin flooring formulations. From seeking and testing new materials; to improve or expand the exclusive range of resin products, to working with the installation teams; to ensure the efficiency and quality of the installation process, Alex has plenty to keep him busy. Much of Alex’s time is spent mixing new formulations and creating samples for either testing purposes or for customers’ specific projects. Alex works closely with suppliers, the sales team and the installation teams to ensure every customer gets the full benefit of all the years technical experience accrued by the whole John Lord team. Alex moved to the UK from the Middle East when he was eleven and grew up in Exeter. Before moving to Manchester to study Chemistry, Alex spent a year travelling, during which he taught English and contributed to building a school in South Africa and qualified as a Ski Instructor in Canada. Alex now lives in the city centre of Manchester and travels against the general flow of commuters to John Lord in Bury each day.
