Bridge at Buscot Park, Faringdon, Oxfordshire

06-02-2015

We were asked by the Timber Frame Company to convert a number of large Green Heart beams from West Bay, Dorset. These were to be used in the construction of a bridge designed and built by Richard La Trobe Bateman. The ten meter baulks were delivered to our yard, and cross cut and sawn to the required dimensions on the cut list. It was an arduous and time consuming process and a lot was learnt about the characteristics of the timber during the conversion process!
